As the beginning of an ongoing urban "tag" series, this activist installation takes on the issue of gun control. Composed from rayguns found in thrift stores, the primary goal here is to remove toy guns as a play option for children from underserved communities. Since gun violence is often a result of inadequate foundations for our youth, this "gun-buy-back" program helps change mindsets through by limiting supply in the formative years. The result, an array of graphic red lasers seems almost to drip down the wall into large flowerburst pools - showing a utopic vision of the future of warfare...love.
